CARY (BSCNC Communications) - Audio from the Great Commission Resurgence Question & Answer Session with Dr. Danny Akin and Dr. Al Gilbert is now available here. In conjunction with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina's (BSCNC) annual session in Greensboro, Akin and Gilbert participated in a discussion Tuesday evening, Nov. 10, about their work with the Great Commission Resurgence Task Force.
Allan Blume, pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and BSCNC Board of Directors president, moderated. Blume asked Akin and Gilbert questions submitted by e-mail in the weeks leading up to the session. Topics of discussion include how the Task Force developed; the role of state conventions, associations and churches; and how to avoid the duplication of ministry efforts.
Akin is president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Gilbert is pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
