Stephen Rummage, Convention Speaker
Rummage began as senior pastor of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Fla., in June 2009. Before coming to Bell Shoals Rummage served as preaching pastor (May 2004-Aug. 2007) and pastor (Aug. 2007-May 2009) of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte for five years. Rummage has a master’s of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctorate from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Rummage has pastored churches in North Carolina, Louisiana and Virginia. He is second vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Prior to his pastorate at Hickory Grove Rummage was director of the Doctor of Ministry program and professor of preaching at Southeastern.

Rummage and his wife Michele have one son, Joshua.
