Break Out sessions will be held from 3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 at the Koury Center in Greensboro.  There is no charge to attend.  Below is a list of the sessions offered:

Video/Photography for Missions
Room: Tanglewood
This break out session will feature video professionals offering a quick overview of things to keep in mind when shooting video and photos as part of your missions outreach. You’ll get practical tips on lighting and shooting as well as some recommendations for cameras, editing software and other equipment you need to get started.

Church Renewal Journey: The New Prayer Empowering Weekend

This conference will introduce you to one part of the Church Renewal Journey - the Prayer Empowering Weekend.  This weekend is about God’s people returning to Him in Kingdom-focused prayer.  Through prayer, God unleashes His church to be on mission with Him in their world.

Embrace Women’s Ministry

This conference is an overview of Embrace, the Women’s Missions and Ministries of the Baptist State Convention. We will share our ministry philosophy, plans and vision for the future. The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina provides a support system for women whose desire is to be involved in women’s missions and ministries for the building up of the local church and the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This break out session is for church leaders who see the need for a church Web site but do not know where to begin. Topics covered will include empowering a Web ministry team, identifying your target audience, managing site content, and the technical and financial requirements of a Web site.

Giving Your Church a Splash of Orange

God designed two important influences to impact the next generation for Christ: the family and the church. Orange is about combining the heart of the family (red) with the light of the church (yellow) to create an exponential force to reach and disciple children. In this session we will explore practical strategies for your church and resources for churches and parents who desire to partner with one another in discipling children.

Your Church On Mission - Adopting an Unreached People Group

About one-third of the world’s population has no or very limited access to the Gospel. We call these Unreached People Groups (UPG).  Many opportunities exist through the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina for your church to be directly involved with one of these people groups through praying, giving and going. This break out session will present information on how your church can adopt and become involved with helping one of these people groups know and experience the love Christ has for them.

How Can I Partner in Church Planting?

This seminar will address the various levels of partnering in a new church plant in North Carolina.  Areas of interest to be covered include: partnering as a church planter, how an existing church can help sponsor a new church plant, and serving as a prayer partner or volunteer missionary in a new church plant.  We will also discuss partnering through multi-site church planting and planting new churches by affinity.  Everyone can be involved in some way in reaching their community for Christ through church planting.

Making Your Church Sticky Through Organic Discipleship

Churches need an organic discipleship strategy that is structured enough to maintain order, but organic enough to change with the ongoing needs of the church as it grows.  While many churches miss the opportunity to connect people, organic discipleship serves to help the church become sticky by intentionally connecting people with the church and its vision.
