Strategic Kingdom-Focused Prayer Prompts
1. Pray for God’s purposes to be accomplished during the annual session.
2. Pray that our focus during the annual session would not be on temporal
issues, but on God’s perspective. Pray that North Carolina Baptists
would respond in each session in a way that pleases the Lord.
3. Pray for a spirit of revival and renewal to exist as messengers return
to their churches.
4. Pray that churches will be desperate to see the millions of people
in North Carolina and the world come to Christ.
Strategic Issues/Opportunities to Pray Toward
1. Pray for the election of new convention officers.
2. Pray for Milton A. Hollifield, Jr., Brian Davis, Rick Speas, Allan Blume
and other leaders to have godly wisdom as they lead throughout
the annual session.
3. Pray for decisions relating to the Baptist Retirement Homes and
its relationship with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
4. Pray for divine encounters as messengers and BSCNC staff network
throughout the meeting and exhibit hall.
5. Pray that attendees and leaders will encounter the living Christ
during auxiliary meetings (Pastor’s Conference, college and
seminary gatherings, etc.), worship and preaching moments.
6. Pray for the break out sessions and leaders.
7. Pray toward the discussions and processes that relate to the
new budget plan.
8. Pray for the church planting commissioning service as new
planters are sent out to join God’s Kingdom work.
